Brief Description of My Real Job: Pulmonary Disease Management Specialist at the Oklahoma Allergy and Asthma Clinic. Karen is a board certified Clinical Nurse Specialist, Registered Respiratory Therapist and has national certification as an asthma educator. Practice includes pediatric and adult asthma. Karen has worked with pulmonary patients for 20 years.
Research and Practice Interests: Asthma Quality of Life, patient adherence, and disease management outcomes. Practice interest includes community pulmonary education, legislative issues regarding pulmonary disease, pediatric and family asthma camp, volunteering at a free clinic (Ministries of Jesus) caring for patients with pulmonary disease.
