Brief Description of My Real Job: Brief description of my real job: Senior Instructor and Director of Clinical Education, Cardiorespiratory Care Program, University of South Alabama, Mobile. Responsible for teaching, arterial blood gases and pulmonary function testing, cardiopulmonary diagnostic procedures and treatment, and respiratory care management. Responsible for managing clinical rotations for the program and advising senior students in their research projects. Research and Practice Interests: I am interested in research regarding patient education and disease management in COPD and asthma. I am involved with obstructive diseases education and treatment program at the Victory Health Partners clinic, a clinic for the working uninsured. I am also involved in writing about and presenting talks on various pulmonary topics for respiratory and nursing audiences. My AAE Role/Projects: Member of the 2009 program committee, speaker at the 2009 meeting, chair of the program committee for the 2010 AAE meeting. Member of the review committee for abstracts submitted for the national meeting.
